Growing up the as the son of an avid hunter it didn't take long till Anthony followed in his foot steps and became one himself. After watching his father have numerous trophies mounted Anthony thought it would be cool to learn but never considered it to be his future. His father finally took that deer of a life time and upon Receiving the mount back his father was very unhappy with it. This sparked his fathers interest to began mounting his own trophies. Seeing his father becoming a self taught taxidermist for his own benefit Anthony became interested in the trade and soon decided that's what he wanted to for a living.

Anthony attended the Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy after Graduating in November of 2010 Wells Taxidermy Studio wasn't just a dream anymore it was one step closer to reality. Having such highly successful instructors Anthony realized he must further his education to be the best taxidermist he could possibly be. The best advice Anthony ever received was "if you ever have any questions, the answer is in your reference, Study it and learn from it ".  Anthony began competing in 2012 and started competing seriously in 2019, since then has received several awards and recognition for his waterfowl work along with several ribbons in the masters and professional divisions.

Anthony is currently conducting his services in Drummonds, Tennessee 30 miles north of Memphis, Tennessee; Less than 1 mile from TWRA managed  Glens Springs Lake.
